Tom Mannen: Photographer, Videographer, Instructor and Charactor
Tom Mannen also known as Turkey Creek Tom the founder of the Desperadoes has been photographing people, places and things privatly and commercialy since 1976. Tom has the ability to not only go on location at your event with portable sets such as a saloon or jail with wardrobe and props. He can take you and your friends and family and transfer you back to the wild west of the 1880's to a town called "Last Chance". Where you are emersed in 1880 period clothing, props, set and weaponry. You can become that gunslinger, lawman, outlaw, gambler, badgirl, dance hall gal, pioneer family or be your own past relative. We have blank firing weaponry of the era for that one of a kind action shot. Capture your imagination the myth the excitment that was or was'nt the WILD OLD WEST. Tom has has been active in and interested in horses, cowboys, outlaws, lawmen and the history of the West for most of his life. He has written video movie scripts that have been shot here in Oregon at the movie set called last chance. He has used these scripts to teach kids about video and movie production and history of the west. He was an instructor at Alpha Hi School an alternative school as a job site to instruct students in writng, producing, editing, and shooting projects movie style while using westerns as a base for this instruction. He is still working with independents and students on projects in a suporting role while still instructing, and acting as weapons handler and safety. I also provide wardrobe, sets, props and historical advice to young film makers. I love what I do. I get to play characters mostly fictional of the wild old west, shoot guns of the period and help other's fullfil their dreams of being a cowboy or cowgirl.
